ACTIVEWEAR

Contestant #3 – Emily Bryan        (Softball)

(Emily enters with mitt, escorts throw softball to her on stage)
One of Emily’s favorite sports is Softball. She has played since she was little and loves the thrill of the game. Because she spent time playing catch with her grandpa, catching pop flies from center field is her specialty. However, she loves hitting home runs and sliding into home plate. The occasional strike out doesn't get her down because she cheers for her teammates as loud as she can.

                                                                                                                                    Thank you Emily!
FORMAL WEAR
 Contestant#3 – Emily Bryan:
Emily is the daughter of Tim and Shelley Bryan. She is the second child out of three girls and one boy. Some of her most recent achievements are earning the Honor Armor Diamond Shield award and winning 2nd place in the regional Mathcounts competition leading her team to State. She boasts a 4.0 GPA and has a goal to graduate high school as Valedictorian. She is Vice President of the National Junior Honor Society and is currently raising funds for entrepreneurial women in developing countries.  She is also involved in the Student Ambassador program at Snow Canyon Middle School.

Through this pageant workshop experience, the most valuable thing Emily has learned is how to better present herself on paper as well as in person.

First Pageant Workshop & Miss Santa Clara Pageant

We had our getting to know you pageant breakfast with our contestants at my home.
Each girl brought something for breakfast that represented them.
We ate and visited over breakfast and talked about things with the pageant that
might worry them. April gave them some wonderful things to think about while preparing.

Then in the evening we met again to go to the Miss Santa Clara Pageant at SCHS.
It was fun for the girls to see a pageant and start imagining themselves on the stage.
It was a fun day with these girls.

Please try to make it to as many workshops as possible, it will only help you. Especially the Opening Number workshops, we only have 3 with the choreographer.

Remember that these are all Life lessons that we are working on. The workshops will be about an hour and a half.

At the Opening Meeting we will have a sign up sheet for Activewear, we don't want any duplicates, so be thinking about it. We will also have a Talent Sign-up as well, but we can have duplicates in that category, but if you are playing an instrument, your music needs to be memorized.
