Changes for the Workshop on the 26th of March

Please, Please, Please practice, Tia will not be with us anymore until it's closer to the pageant. So work hard.

Opening Number First Workshop
The Counts
The Music-
The First workshop went really well even though we only had 6 out of 11 girls there, but we did realize that there was a conflict with another activity going on, so we were glad that we had as many as we had. We had: Keirnan, Brittney, Madi, Megan, Kamri, and Shawnee. We look forward to next weeks workshop and hope everyone uses the videos to help them work on the opening number.

Paperwork MIA
I had a few questions about finding the paperwork on the website. It had disappeared for a day due to an end date that wasn't changed, but it is now up and running thanks to Benny and Tami. You should be able to find it now. Sorry about the delay. Also, we have a minor conflict for next Saturday, please let me know if you will be attending the Mini MTC for the Ivins Stake. It will interfere with our first workshop, so I need to know if I need to cancel that workshop if alot of girls will not be in attendance. Leave me a comment below or email me. Thanks

Successful Opening Meeting
Our first meeting went very well. Our sign-up sheet ended up with 15 girls names on there. That's not saying that some might back out, but pretty good start. We went over the theme with everyone, which is "This is What Dreams are Made Of" with a Paris Flare. The opening number will be to that song by Hillary Duff. We reminded the girls about their paperwork that is DUE anytime by FEBRUARY 4th, Friday-and needs to be taken to the City Offices so that they could pay their APPLICATION FEE of $20.00. In the paperwork, we need an OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT (you can get it from the front office of the schools-NOT A Powerschool printoff!!! A picture of the applicant, the medical release form, the permission form-signed, the 100 word essay about themselves, and the Information sheet. We reminded them to make a copy of their information sheet and essay to keep and study, because that is where the judges will get their information from for the private interview.
We also addressed the modesty rules: NO SPAGHETTI STRAPS or SLEEVELESS anything, that also goes for sportswear, evening gowns, interview outfits or talent.
We will see everyone on Saturday, February 5th at 10:00 at Unity Park for the first Opening Number workshop.

Paperwork
All paperwork will need to be turned in NO LATER than Friday, February 4th at the Ivins City Building with your application fee of $20.00.

Application Fee
This year there will be an application fee attached to all of the paperwork. The application fee will be $20.00 per girl. In charging the application fee it makes the girls more committed and everything that they are getting for that price: 10 workshops to prepare for the pageant-hair & make-up, poise & presentation, walking in heels, Interview, and dance classes for 5 weeks for the Opening Number. In the past we have had too many girls pull out last minute, or want to join late. There is a lot of work that goes into planning and putting this pageant on so we want girls who are committed and want to be there. We also appreciate all of the time that Heather Kunde and Tia Stokes puts in to the workshops. We look forward to working with all of the contestants and making new friends.
