WE HAVE A DATE
The Miss Ivins Pageant 2011 will take place on Saturday, April 16th-2011 at Tuacahn High School in the Hafen Theater. We will be posting the paperwork on the City Website-www.ivins.com. You can find all the information that you will need for the Pageant here. Stay tuned.

SOOOO Proud!!!
Girls I am so proud of ALLL of you!!! You were absolutely beautiful. I hope all of you had a most memorable experience and I hope to see you again next year. Know that if you want your picture that was on the table, I have them for $5.00 or if you paid for your picture already, call me and come by and get it. I have LOVED working with you girls and look forward to next year. We will have a few other women helping us and making it more of a memorable experience. I will post pictures later. Thank you for all of my thank you's and kind letters. I sure love you girls.

I need WRITE-UPS
If you girls could PLEASE e-mail me your write-ups for the sportwear and evening wear and your talent and song that you will be performing ASAP I could finish my script. Saturday workshop-OUR LAST ONE
Saturday is our last workshop - I need EVERYONE there for the final pose for the opening number. IT will be held at 12:00-2:00PM. The time has changed please spread the word, I have a funeral at 11:00 so please understand. I need everyone there for the opening number at 12:00. I also wanted to take the opportunity to thank the mom's and girls who came to the meeting last night. I just wanted to address some concerns that some of the first time parents had about that busy day. I hope that you all feel like it was a successful meeting and that if you have any questions please feel free to call me and just ask. I hope you know how much I love your girls and enjoy watching them during this process. I am soooo proud of them for believing in themselves and putting themselves out there. They are amazing young women and I am so honored to be associated with them. Thank you again, for taking time out of your busy night and coming to my last minute meeting. Your girls are amazing because of their mother who stands behind her and supports her. I am so sorry that Friday is going to be crazy, but I am trying to take on most of that craziness so that the girls and parents can relax and just enjoy the experience. Please know that I care about your girls and am sooooooo excited for them. Thanks again, Tonya

Time is ticking....
We only have 11 more days till the pageant. Are you ready with your sportswear? Do you have your talent totally ready for performance, what about the dance for the Opening Number? Are you remembering to do the moves to your best, smile, and have fun!!!!
We will be having our LAST workshop on Saturday. So have your talents ready and we will polish up the Opening Number. We need EVERYONE at the workshop on Saturday at 10:30. Tia has to finish up the final pose at the end of the opening number and needs everyBODY there to put you in your spot.

EASTER EGG HUNT
We need ALL of the girls at the Unity Park dance building at 8:00am with tape in hand. We need to tape eggs shut before we distribute eggs on the field. Please come prepared. Thank you for all of your help. Our photoshoot was wonderful and the girls were beautiful!!!! Next post will be about the photoshoot.

PHOTOSHOOT-Bad weather
If we end up having bad weather for our photoshoot for Thursday, we will have to reschedule for Thursday, April 8th same time and place. If it comes to 4:15 and the weather looks bad, it is cancelled. Feel free to call me after 5:00 if you have a question. Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 3rd is the Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the City of Ivins. Every girl needs to be there at 8:30am at Unity Park, to help distribute the eggs. Please let me know if there is a problem with you being able to be there. We will be going over the opening number after the hunt from 11:00--12:00. Below are some pictures from last years egg hunt. Photoshoot & Headshots
Thursday, April 1st is our photoshoot with Shellee Draper from Photography by Shellee. Please plan on meeting at the Jacob Hamlin Home at 5:30pm in Dark Blue jeans, black shirt or blouse (your preference, no designs or logo's in the front of the shirt. This photoshoot is always alot of fun. Come with some ideas that you think would benefit everyone. This will be the ONLY time that we take the headshots for the entry table. So please make it happen. Interview Workshop
March 27th - Before the workshop started, we had a box of easter eggs to fill for more volunteer hours. Our workshop consisted of The Interview part of the Pageant. Heather Kunde is amazing with these girls and she has helped them all be the best that they could be in participating in this pageant. The girls confidence is getting stronger and stronger. They are believing in themselves and knowing that they can do this. The Royalty helped with the interview portion, they performed a MOCK Interview and the girls had to face the judges.

Filling Eggs
We will have a box of eggs and candy that needs to be filled for the Easter Egg Hunt. If you would like more volunteer hours for your paperwork, this is the perfect opportunity. We will be there at 10:00am and will fill eggs, then we will go over the opening number and Interview questions. Please be there at 10:00am. Good idea to bring your heels and get more practice in doing the pattern of the walk before your interview questions from the princess. Thanks girls for your dedication and willingness to spend some of your Saturday with us. These ladies are amazing that come out of their willingness to help you with this pageant experience. March 20th Pageant Workshop
Today's workshop was working more on the Opening Number and everyone brought high heels and worked on Poise and Presentation. Heather Kunde is amazing and she is teaching these girls so much about being confident and believing in themselves. At
first, walking on the stage and in heels and doing the pageant walk felt a little awkward, but they got the hang of it after some practice. These girls are going to be amazing that night. I can't wait for them. We were missing a few due to the Preference Dance at the high school and Girls Softball Tournament. I appreciate all of the girls being here if they can. At the bottom of all the pictures the Opening Number is attached through Youtube, so that you can practice with it.
Remember the costume for the Opening number is Black Jazz Pants, White long sleeve button down collared shirt, fitted NOT oversized. If you need to use your brother's that's fine. and any RED tie. It can be pasley, polkadot, strips, plain -- JUST RED!!!! Black Jazz shoes if you don't have any, BLACK socks.

PAPERWORK DUE
I need all of the paperwork and your picture brought to Saturday's workshop. I need it all typed out on the NEW sheets. Please take the time to type it out, I really would hate to see you docked for not typing it out. Don't Forget to bring a pair of heels, preferrably the ones that you will be wearing for the pageant. This workshop will be till 12:30pm so please plan to be there the whole time. We will be working on the opening number for the first half hour.

March 13th Workshop
We had such a great workshop, even though we got a later start. We worked on the opening number for the first 30 minutes. (A special thank you to Tia for traveling ALL the WAY out to Ivins every Saturday to work with the girls on their opening number.) Then we were privledged to listen to Heather Kunde about Hair, Makeup, clothing and paperwork. She is so knowledgable about this whole pageant stuff and we are so grateful that she could share her knowledge with us.

March 6th Workshop
This workshop we worked on the opening number. The Theme for the evening will be "A NIGHT IN TIME SQUARE" The girls are dancing to "New York, New York". Here are some pictures that I took during that workshop. Remember the workshops are Every Saturday at 11:00 at Unity Park. This next workshop will be the Opening Number and Hair and Make-up.
